Editorial Policy

Our editorial standard is practical, source-led, dated, and clear about uncertainty.

Reporting and sources

We begin with a reader question, then look for primary sources: university extension, federal programs, regulators, safety authorities, and direct producer information. Experience can explain a method, but it does not replace a source for a safety, certification, or regulatory claim.

Every article has a visible source band. Archive links explain provenance and URL continuity. We do not copy long historical passages or use the former domain as evidence of a current business identity.

Corrections and dates

Dated updates show when a page was checked. If a source changes, a local market closes, or a calendar note becomes misleading, we revise the page and explain the correction when it matters. A broad seasonal window is labeled as orientation, not as a promise.

We separate editorial judgment from commercial relationships. Sponsored content is labeled, has its own policy, and cannot change the conclusion of an independent article.
